SDFC, Something Different for Christmas began over 25 years ago in the dining room of the founder and stained glass artist, Lorna Radbourne.
After the second year she realised a bigger venue was required and so moved her small Fair to the local Village hall in Dunning, Perthshire. She ran the quality artisan fair for 25 years postponing only one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
She now organises the SDFC Artisan Exhibition at the Bield, a wonderful large and relaxed space at the Bield, Blackruthven outside Perth where visitors can browse a wide range of quality art and craft in quiet surroundings over 9 days in late November and early December.
Free parking is close to the venue with the very popular Gloagburn Farm shop and café just along the road. Directions can be found here.
A select range of talented artists have been hand picked for the event. Each bringing their own individual skills and beautiful work to the Exhibition.
They offer a wide range of creative artwork with something to interest wood lovers, textile fans, glass enthusiasts, pottery people and more. You will find inspiring gift ideas for loved ones or even just for treating yourself with the opportunity to chat to the maker.
There are daily demonstrations and workshops available too and various artists will be there daily and happy to discuss their work and processes with you. We’re looking forward to welcoming you!
You can find the range of artists here.
